The resort is set against an inimitable backdrop of the fabulous Mismaloya Bay and is situated directly on a beach which has over 1,600 feet of light golden sand. Mismaloya Bay is famous for being the set of the movie "The night of the Iguana" and it remains as a beautiful reminder of the romance between Liz Taylor and Richard Burton. Here the sun is always there for you to enjoy, just the way you like it where you can lie in the sand, swim in our river or under the waterfalls.

Barceló La Jolla de Mismaloya features 303 suites with private terraces distributed between two towers with a wonderful view of the bay. Standard room amenities include two telephones with modem access, in-room safe deposit box, coffeemaker, iron and hairdryer plus color TV's via satellite with remote control.

Our meeting rooms feature state-of-the-art audiovisual equipment including video, slide, overhead and computer projectors, VCRs, televisions, sound equipment, simultaneous translation equipment and everything else you will need for a successful event. For private executive meetings or if the program requires a smaller area, our suites have a wide living area which can be set up for smaller group meetings from 10 to 25 guests.
